Our 6" Classic Carrot Cake is our take on an American favorite. The best creamed cheese frosting you expect from a carrot cake is layered between 4 layers of moist cake filled with fresh carrot, walnuts, and spices, decorated on top with rosettes and walnut pieces. Bring back all of the dessert memories with a classic carrot cake for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because. All of our Classic Cakes come in larger sizes to feed a crowd.

Choose a Flavor: Our cakes are always made with the highest quality ingredients and flavorings, are made to order, and baked with love from scratch. Whatever flavor you choose will taste exactly as you would expect from the first bite to the last.

Our cakes are typically 4 layers, except for our Mini Heart Cakes and Smash Cakes.

Add a Message:
Can we customize your cake for you? Add FREE writing on top (or on the cake board if necessary) in the color of your choice to personalize your celebration and make someone’s day! Max 35 characters. Add your message at checkout.

Schedule It:
Order your cake by 11 a.m., Tuesday-Sunday, and pick it up or have it delivered in 24 hours. We offer free local delivery (within 15 miles of Hotcakes Bakes in Culver City) on all orders over $150. Your delivery fees (if any) will be calculated upon check out on our website. You may also select a date in the future. For wedding cakes and more elaborate designs, we ask for as much notice as possible, at least 36 hours.

Hotcakes Bakes takes pride in baking with only the highest quality ingredients in our products. All our ingredients are sourced from reputable purveyors and suppliers, guaranteeing a level of quality that sets our products apart. Whether it's the flour, sugar, and real butter for our cakes, cupcakes, desserts, and cookies, or the fresh California berries used to add flavor and decorate our treats, we maintain close relationships with our producers and vendors to ensure that every Hotcakes Bakes creation is exceptionally fresh and delicious.

Regarding dietary restrictions, unless specified or ordered as gluten-free, all Hotcakes Bakes products contain wheat flour. While we are not a certified gluten-free facility, we make efforts to minimize cross-contamination for gluten-free labeled products.

Product Care

Handling: When carrying your cake out of the store, please be sure to carry the box from the bottom and keep it level. This will prevent the cake from being damaged by the sides of the box. 

Driving: Transport your cake in the flattest area of your car, like on the seat floor. Make sure it won’t slide or tilt, as this may cause layers to shift and decor to fall off. Cakes can be quite fragile, so drive slowly and no sudden stops. If your cake is damaged in transit, we cannot replace it, but we may be able to repair the damage if it is not too extensive.

Storing: Our cakes use REAL ingredients that are sensitive to heat and moisture. Keep your cake refrigerated (or at least in a very cool place) until about 20-30 minutes before serving; depending on the size, you might need longer to bring it to room temperature. We don’t recommend freezing our cakes prior to serving, and do not let them sit out for longer than 2 hours. 

Leftovers: Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 7 days. You may freeze leftovers if you wrap them in parchment paper, followed by an outer layer of plastic wrap, and then placed in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
