Local Delivery in Los Angeles:
We offer free local delivery (within 15 miles of Hotcakes Bakes in Culver City) on all orders over $150. Your delivery fees (if any) will be calculated upon check out on our website.

Delivery Changes:
Once an order is placed, we are generally unable to adjust local delivery if the desired delivery date is within 24 hours. Please contact us at shop@hotcakesbakes.com as soon as possible so we can assist you with your delivery change.

Recipient Must Be Present:
You must be present to receive your delivery. Typically delivery drivers will wait up to 10 minutes at your delivery address before an order is deemed undeliverable. If you live in an apartment building with lobby access, please note that we cannot leave your delivery unattended in the lobby. 

Handling:
When carrying your cake out of the store, please be sure to carry the box from the bottom and keep it level. This will prevent the cake from being damaged by the sides of the box. 

Driving:
Transport your cake in the flattest area of your car, like on the seat floor. Make sure it won’t slide or tilt, as this may cause layers to shift and decor to fall off. Cakes can be quite fragile, so drive slowly and no sudden stops. If your cake is damaged in transit, we cannot replace it, but we may be able to repair the damage if it is not too extensive.

Storing:
Our cakes use REAL ingredients that are sensitive to heat and moisture. Keep your cake refrigerated (or at least in a very cool place) until about 20-30 minutes before serving; depending on the size, you might need longer to bring it to room temperature. We don’t recommend freezing our cakes prior to serving, and do not let them sit out for longer than 2 hours. 

Leftovers:
Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 7 days. You may freeze leftovers if you wrap them in parchment paper, followed by an outer layer of plastic wrap, and then placed in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

Refund Policy:
At Hotcakes Bakes, we adhere to the "customer is always right" philosophy; however, given the perishable nature of our products, we do not facilitate returns, exchanges, or refunds unless there's an unintentional error on our part (e.g., misinterpretation of a custom order, incorrect quantity fulfillment, etc.). It's crucial to thoroughly review your order before placing it, especially for custom orders. If the final product aligns with the written specifications, no refund will be provided even if it differs from your expectations. If such a situation arises, please contact us immediately upon receiving your order so that we can address and rectify the issue.

Cancellation Policy:
All our orders are crafted from scratch, tailored to your unique preferences, including flavors, colors, designs, and quantities. Once the production process has begun, we are generally unable to cancel or refund orders, as the product is specifically made for you. However, if your order hasn't entered production yet, we may consider offering a refund or rescheduling for a future delivery date. We strive to accommodate any changes and appreciate your understanding. Please be aware that once your order is in production, cancellation or refunds are not possible.

Yes! You can pre-order our classic cupcakes or specially decorated cupcakes online. They come in mini or regular sizes.
